Kinabalu Park, One of Malaysia’s first world heritage. Situated on the southern boundary, at an elevation of 1,563 metres with facilities accommodation, restaurant, exhibit centres, park offices where overnight climbers must register for Mount Kinabalu. For Poring Hot Spring is in the lowlands, a complete contrast to the Kinabalu Park and famous for it hot sulfuric minerals of this spring.
Itinerary:
- 7.30 am – Depart from hotel and proceed to Kinabalu National Park, Malaysia’s Natural Heritage site. Journey will take estimate 2 hours passing by mountainous roads that wind along the Crocker Range.
- 9.30 am – A brief stop over at Nabalu, a collection of native stalls selling fruits, vegetables, local produce and handicrafts.
- 10.00 am – Arrive at Kinabalu National Park, expereince the cool and refreshing mountain air. Clear wheater with a majestic view of Mount Kinabalu.
- 11.00 am – Proceed for a guided walk along the nature trails with the park naturalist. While walking, listen to the sounds of the jungle and observe nature’s plants, trees, orchids and butterflies. Kinabalu Park boasts with species of plants which includes 1,500 species of orchids, 77 of which are endemic to Kinabalu. The park also supports 289 species of birds and 290 different types of butterflies.
- 12.45 pm – Depart for lunch.
- 1.30 pm – After lunch, depart for another for interesting natural wonder, the Poring Hot Spring located approximately 47 km from Kinabalu Park. Poring Hot Spring, named after the tall bamboo plant that is abundant in that area, is a natural spring where hot sulfurous water emit from the ground. Avaialble canopy walkway with suspension bridges are suspended at the top of the canopy for visitors to walk along.
- 4.00 pm – Depart Poring Hot Spring for Kota Kinabalu.
- 5.30 pm to 6.00 pm – Arrive hotel.

Padas River is situated in the interior southern part of Kota Kinabalu that is only accessible by train (used since the late 19th century in Borneo). Basically this trip will give rafter 2 experiences advantages, Excursions of Class 4 River and a ride in an antique train in this new millennium.
The adrenaline rush excursions covers a distance of this rather muddy 200 km river that holds 7 exciting and tough rapids.
The journey will first take 2 hours overland through the countryside to Beaufort town from there the adventure begins with 1½ hours train rides tracks along the Padas River that gives glimpses of the thrills and excitements to come. Upon arriving at the starting point, participants will be given safety briefing before going down the river.
After rafting, enjoy a sumptuous delicious BBQ lunch by the river and wind down with a sunset view of the return journey to Kota Kinabalu.

Kiulu water rafting, the river graded level 1 – 2, suitable for children under 12 years and moderately adventurous. Ideal for family outing and for relaxing trip, distance rafting is 15 kilometers when the water level is high, and 7 kilometers of excursions at normal water level.
Itinerary 9.00 am – Pick up from hotel for Kiulu River, located in Tamparuli town. Journey will pass through the countryside offering views of paddy fields and villages. 10.30 am – Upon arrival, a briefing on the river and the various rapids, safety procedures will be conducted by the river guide 10.45 am – Start rafting down 9 km Kiulu River (Grade 1 – 2) and enjoy the exhilarating ride down the white rapids and get to know the various point like Body rafting, The Wall Rapid, Holy Smoke Rapid till the ending point. 12.15 pm – Arrive at the ending point. Change to dry clothing and enjoy the sumptuous BBQ lunch by the Kiulu River. 2.00 pm – Depart back to Kota Kinabalu.
