2 Days 1 Night Mount Trusmadi with height 2,642 meters is the second highest mountain in Sabah and Malaysia after the Majestic Mount Kinabalu. Day 1 – Packed Lunch and Dinner 10.00 am – Pick up from the hotel in Kota Kinabalu and depart to Tambunan. This small town lies in the heart of the Pegalan Valley, about 2 hours drive over the scenic Crocker Range from Kota Kinabalu. 12.00 pm – Reach Tambunan Town. 1.00 pm – Depart by 4 wheel drive from Tambunan Town to Trus Madi which will take you into the forestry Reserve starting point at Taman Kitingan (1,627m) which is just 4900 metres from the summit. 2.00 pm – Arrived at the starting point Taman Kitingan. Register with permit , continue journey to the rest house at Taman Sulaiman approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. 4.30 pm – Expected to arrive at the rest house. 5.00 pm – Hi Tea, coffee or tea and local food 6.00 pm – Have an early buffer dinner 7.30 pm – Free and easy, stay overnight at the rest house. Day 2 1.00 am – Wake up call 1.30 am – Proceed Supper Breakfast 2.00 am – After supper, briefing conduct from the Mountain Guide and start trekking up to the summit of Mount Trusmadi 5.30 am – Expected to reach the summit. The pitcher plants are to be found from an elevation of 1,900m all the way to the summit and they get larger and larger as you trek higher. There are also Rafflesia Flower in the area, but they are more likely to be seen at the foot of the mountain. In sunny weather you may well see the largest butterfly in the world – Rajah Brooke 8.00 am – Descend back to the rest house. 11.30 am – Reach at the rest house & enjoy the buffet lunch. 1.00 pm – Return to the starting point Taman Kitingan. 2.00 pm – Transfer back to Tambunan town by 4 wheel drive (vehicle). 3.00 pm – Arrive at Tambunan Town and transfer back to Kota Kinabalu City. 5.00 pm – Reach at Kota Kinabalu City and transfer to your desinated hotel.

- Sandakan Jetty for approximately 2½ hours boat journey to Sukau Rainforest Lodge along Sabah’s longest Kinabatangan River
- Check in and free and easy.

Kinabalu Park, One of Malaysia’s first world heritage. Situated on the southern boundary, at an elevation of 1,563 metres with facilities accommodation, restaurant, exhibit centres, park offices where overnight climbers must register for Mount Kinabalu. For Poring Hot Spring is in the lowlands, a complete contrast to the Kinabalu Park and famous for it hot sulfuric minerals of this spring.
Itinerary:
- 7.30 am – Depart from hotel and proceed to Kinabalu National Park, Malaysia’s Natural Heritage site. Journey will take estimate 2 hours passing by mountainous roads that wind along the Crocker Range.
- 9.30 am – A brief stop over at Nabalu, a collection of native stalls selling fruits, vegetables, local produce and handicrafts.
- 10.00 am – Arrive at Kinabalu National Park, expereince the cool and refreshing mountain air. Clear wheater with a majestic view of Mount Kinabalu.
- 11.00 am – Proceed for a guided walk along the nature trails with the park naturalist. While walking, listen to the sounds of the jungle and observe nature’s plants, trees, orchids and butterflies. Kinabalu Park boasts with species of plants which includes 1,500 species of orchids, 77 of which are endemic to Kinabalu. The park also supports 289 species of birds and 290 different types of butterflies.
- 12.45 pm – Depart for lunch.
- 1.30 pm – After lunch, depart for another for interesting natural wonder, the Poring Hot Spring located approximately 47 km from Kinabalu Park. Poring Hot Spring, named after the tall bamboo plant that is abundant in that area, is a natural spring where hot sulfurous water emit from the ground. Avaialble canopy walkway with suspension bridges are suspended at the top of the canopy for visitors to walk along.
- 4.00 pm – Depart Poring Hot Spring for Kota Kinabalu.
- 5.30 pm to 6.00 pm – Arrive hotel.
