The Tip of Borneo, witness spectacular Sunset and Sunrise which located Tanjung Simpang Mengayau. Kudat, a three-hour drive north of Kota Kinabalu, is famous for its rich cultural heritage and blending of ethnic groups, especially the Rungus, the largest and the main ethnic group living in Kudat. The Rungus, a sub-tribe of the Kadazandusun, are the main ethnic group living in the Kudat region. They are renowned in Sabah as highly skilled artisans, who traditionally make colorful beaded necklaces from local plant seeds and clay, with motifs of ancient designs, usually signifying old fables and legends. They are also highly skilled at basketry and cloth weaving.

The Bavaggazo longhouses also known as “Binatang”, are unique attractions for visitors as they were planned and developed as a cultural centerpiece by the Runggus community at Kampong Bavaggazzo as a means to display and conserve their cultural heritage while engaging in an economically sustainable venture. Guests can experiencing live in a longhouse while taking part in community activities such as weaving and bead stringing. Longhouse meals are mainly home grown, featuring fish and seafood as well as wild ferns and fruits. The evening brings a festive ‘party’ atmosphere to the longhouse, with the rhythmic playing of gongs and villagers resplendent in their traditional black costume, complete with elaborate beads.

You will be taken on a pleasant drive to north of Kota Kinabalu, passing by Kota Belud lies to Kudat district for your Rungus Longhouse tour. The Rungus still maintain the longhouse community system and you can witness their unique lifestyle.


  • 7.00 am – Depart lodge / hotel after breakfast for Kudat, a 3 hours drive to north of Kota Kinabalu, passing views of paddy fields, villages, oil palm plantation, local stalls selling handicraft and food items.
  • 10.00 am – Proceed to Tip of Borneo to view the magnificent scenery standing at the very tip of Borneo Island.
  • 12.30 pm – Then proceed to unique attractions include the Bavanggazo Longhouse, planned and develop as a cultural centerpiece by the Rungus community at Kampong Bavanggazo as a means to display and conserve their cultural heritage.
  • 1.30 pm – Lunch at the longhouse
  • 2.30 pm – After lunch, Rungus people prepare to make their cultural performances. Experience life in the longhouse while taking part in community activities such as weaving and bead stringing.
  • 4.00 pm – Proceed back to Kota Kinabalu
  • 6.00 pm – Arrive lodge / hotel

Kayaking is the use of a kayak for moving across water. Kayaking is generally differentiated from canoeing by the sitting position of the paddler and the number of blades on the paddle. A kayak is defined by the International Canoe Federation (the world sanctioning body) as a boat where the paddler faces forward, has their legs in front of them, and uses a double bladed paddle.


  • 7.30 am – Pick up from hotel / Lodge and transfer to Jetty – Briefing (Safety Precaution)
  • 8.00 am – Paddling to Mamutik or Sapi Islands, where you will see the beautiful beach with clear waters. Own Activity for ½ hour ( HIGHLIGHTS: Swimming and Snorkeling )
  • 9.30 am – Light refreshment, Paddling from Island to Island where you will have a chance to explore the Islands. Own activity – Free at leisure  ( HIGHLIGHTS: Rest and Swimming )
  • 10.30 am – Lunch (Packed Lunch) Paddling from Island (Last destination) to Sapi Island, which is one of the best places for snorkeling and sun-bathing, Free at leisure ( HIGHLIGHTS: Swimming, Snorkeling, Sea Sports – own expense )
  • 4.00 pm – Boat transfer from Sapi island to Kota Kinabalu jetty. Transfer to back.

The River Cruise to observe and search the “Big Nose” Proboscis Monkey and nick name for “David Beckham” Silver Langur Monkeys, Long Tailed Macaque, Kingfishers, Hornbills, Monitor Lizard, Crocodiles, also to watch the Water Buffaloes crossing the river as well as to witness the sunset on your way back to river cruise jetty!


  • 2.00 pm – Depart hotel for Kota Klias, located approximately 112 km from Kota Kinabalu. The journey will pass small towns, paddy fields, and villages.
  • 4.00 pm – Upon arrival at the jetty, coffee tea and local tasty cakes will be served.
  • 5.00 pm – On board for river cruise boat to search for the odds nosed proboscis monkeys. On this river cruise an opportunity to learn the traditional method of catching fish and prawns.
  • 6.00 pm – Arrive jetty and serve delicious Malaysian buffet dinner
  • 6.50 pm – When darkness sets in, 2nd boat ride for the witness nature’s display of Christmas light the Fireflies.
  • 7.20 pm – Depart for Kota Kinabalu

Shooting Range
G.A.T.E – Grip and Triggers Experience

Ever wondered how it feels to shoot a real gun? Well now you can try out the small caliber pistol, shotgun & rifle with scope suitable for beginners. For a more challenging round, try out the Skeet or Trap discipline, using a double barrel shotgun and shoot flying clay pigeons. Accompanied by an instructor all the time, telling you the proper way in gun handling safety is a must for you to enjoy this activity.

Note: 2 shooting session in a day (close on Monday and Public Holiday)

  • 1st session: 10.30 am to 12.30 pm
  • 2nd session: 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm


Duration: 2 – 3 hours

Pickup from hotel accompanied by your guide and journey to GATE shooting range. Upon arrival, meet and greet your weapons instructor. A 30 minute briefing on gun safety and handling will be given before the activity. Start with 9mm semi auto hand gun (Glock) static target. Return to your hotel / lodge after this session.

Kota Kinabalu, the gateway to the rest of Sabah , is also the State Capital. It has a population of around half a million people. Kota Kinabalu, or K.K. as it is usually called, a rather new city, as the original town was destroyed during the Second World War is developing rapidly to the Asian paradise with beautiful waterfronts and flowery streets. In the vicinity of Kota Kinabalu there are various places of interest, including the offshore islands, Tanjung Aru Beach , the State Museum and the State Mosque, the Gaya Street Fair every Sunday Morning, the “pasar malam” or open night markets where you can test your bargaining skills and nearby water villages.






The Laban Rata Resthouse is where tourists who climb Mount Kinabalu will stop for an overnight stay. Nestled in Kinabalu Park, Malaysia’s first World Heritage Site, the resthouse is equipped with common bathrooms, has heated showers, heated rooms and a restaurant. It is the final pit stop before heading towards the peak of Mount Kinabalu.

Staying at Laban Rata is meant to revitalize climbers. Located approximately 3,000 metres above sea level, it is set up in a way that ensures that climbers are able to recharge themselves before continuing on with another three hours of climb to make it to the summit.
